"Repeal the DMCA!" makes for better copy than "Repeal the clause in
the DMCA that criminalizes circumvention devices!"

The big problem with that clause is that it can be manipulated to turn
completely unoriginal concepts into instant patents, which carry the
weight of criminal prosecution.  It has not once been used in a case
where someone's copyright was actually threatened.

The rest of the law is perfectly fine (or at least not something
I care about).
