The above has nothing to do with DMCA. It has to do with cable companies
business practices.
If your access is shut off permanently, you need to find a provider with a
clue, who wouldn't shut you off immediately after receiving DMCA notice.
There's very healthy competition among DSL providers, and I'm sure you
wouldn't have to look far for one with a clue. Isn't this a great
country?
[And please refer to the Verizon DMCA case for example of a large company
with a clue, who will go to great lengths to comply with DMCA while
protecting its customers].
[And if you tell me there's only one cable company in your area and you
can't get any DSL, well, you'll need to take this to FTC. This has nothing
to do with DMCA].
