I'd like to put my 2 cents in here. My school's site will not work
correctly at all in any other browswer than IE. I cannot access their
Library site to do research, always gives me an error saying i am hving
a firewall problem. BUT doesn't say that in IE. I even told Mozilla and
Opera to simulate IE to what ever newer version they are supporting. I
do still have a windows box I mostly game on, but I ONLY use IE for
accessing my school site. It is frustraing, but nothing else works or
configures correctly with that site. So, i probably have that 1 out of
10 example of what doesn't work! Most sites will work tho. I basically
opensourced my windows box. I use Open OFfice and MOzilla most of the
time on it. and other open source programs. The vast majority of the
time i am using my Debian box ;) I do really like Linux better. I have
a Knoppix box that runs windows media player via a crossover
application...
I wish you luck. I just thought i'd share my horrible example of the
errors i get on a certain important site i need. I say try out your
sites you work or need under the other browsers and then take on! I
try to stick with mozilla at best, but like i said, doesn't always work
out.
