[nylug-talk] Upgrading RH 7.1 from mountable .iso file...

Hi,
I want to do a "wholesale" upgrade on my RH 7.1
system. I looked into joining the Red Hat Network,
but its a bit pricey for my needs. (BTW, are there
any third-parties offering comparable services as RHN
for RH systems?) Anyway, to get my system "up2date"
for free, I want to download an .iso image, store it
on my hard drive (i don't have a cd burner), and do
the upgrade from it. This seems like it should be
possible, as long as the RedHat upgrade method doesn't
format drives and such.
So, I'm thinking the first step is to get lilo (grub?)
to mount my .iso image as though it were a cdrom. I
have access to a remote host if doing a network
upgrade is more feasible. Any thoughts or links to
docs would be appreciated. Thanks.
Bill
