If I remember correctly, someone on this list signed up for
the Linuxworld Expo in 2001 or 2002 under a false name, and 
had received postal-mail spam from Microsoft addressed to 
that same name.  Don't worry, you're in one of their
databases somewhere, too.  

Never underestimate the marketing teams of a place like
Microsoft.  Well, I guess "overestimate" would be more
appropriate wordage in this situation.
