Sendmail is not really learned.

You sit down in front of the Sendmail tome by the Wizards O'Reilly
for 3 or 4 hours, studying all of the arcane incantations that will
achieve the result you need.

Once you are ready, and have casted the spell to create your configuration
file, all of the knowledge you so laborously absorbed disappears from
your brain in a flash.

Hopefully, it's configured correctly at this point, because if not, you
have to start over.
